We celebrated the new Trendline Austin office by creating a welcome mural for guests.

ROLE / TOOLS

Project Manager, Design, Art Direction; Photoshop, Illustrator

STEP ONE

Starting with a blank canvas, I took pictures of the space and measured the areas we needed to cover. Our new mural would be on one main wall and wrap around another column, meaning I needed to design three (3) separate panels.

STEP TWO

Our CEO had a vision for what he wanted this mural to be, very Austin iconic. A mural from Sixth Street became the inspiration.

STEP THREE

Colors! I chose color chips to complement our current branding and added additional secondary colors to add vibrancy to the design.

STEP FOUR

Take in into Photoshop, add company values and insider jokes/references, don’t forget to account for the fire extinguisher too.

STEP FIVE

With an approved design, we bought paint and stenciled out the blocks on the wall using carbon paper. It took approximately 48 hours to complete.
